Reviews:

Positive:

  • Best keyboard I’ve used. Been using it since beta format on iOS and love the quick access to over 190 languages. Helps in world online games and RPG community chats. If you can copy the text you have a word-for-word translation. When you translate your exact words it transfers how the other player’s language in a way they understand with a 95% accuracy. No more misunderstanding due to the game translation being at 50% accuracy. Perfect for a writer to text a perfect communication.
  • I love that you can add your own photo to use as your keyboard background. The app and all of the settings are easy to use and understand. Easily navigate your way around to customize your background, Swype texting, personalization, and even the control over the sound it makes when typing if any at all. I LOVE, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app! I have tried other keyboards just cuz I want a different little sticker or emojis and I always find myself back to the Gboard! LOVE THE TALK TO TEXT ❕‼️❕‼️❕
  • I’m loving it. Absolutely no complaints but one suggestion is to make it like Microsoft Documents with lots of different font options. There’s gotta be a way. Our phones are so big now that I think we’d all love having different options. It would be cool too if we could use our different options in our text messaging.
  • FAR SUPERIOR KEYBOARD Very easy to use. Unlike other applications, the use of a clipboard, attaching images/videos/files, as well as settings adjustment are all done with incredible ease. THE BEST PART is the ability to perform all of these tasks while Gboard is IN USE. Highly recommend it on all platforms. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
  • Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, Google once again has the best program available for all of your keyboard requirements. They get most of the words right, be it what tense you need or a saying that you might not remember every word to, Google gets it right most of the time. Certainly more than any of the others. I would also say this is true for the Google voice-to-text feature as well.

Negative:

  • Making themes is nice, the symbol layout is garbage though, especially since default keyboards have an option to hotkey symbols with the “.” Button, no real way to change layouts, but for some reason, you can do Morse code? Please get your priorities straight lol. Also, the sticker button is annoying and doesn’t go away. Also, who would want “share Gboard” as a hotkey? It’s useless!
  • The update makes the bubbles all rounded and the theme’s colors are not the same as they were. Change it back! What happened to the Google search button on the keyboard? That was incredibly helpful to quickly send links and news articles to family and friends without ever having to leave the messaging apps. You never needed to open the internet browser then copy and then go back and paste. Also, why does the keyboard take up so much room on my phone? It’s getting close to a full GB!? That’s absurd!!
  • I used to love this keyboard. In particular, I’ve come to rely heavily on the Clipboard function, especially its ability to save multiple items in a history list. Now all of a sudden I can’t pull up the Clipboard by the press and hold the pop-up menu in ANY text box. Some apps always lacked this function but now I can’t get it to show up in any of them. Even ones I used it in all the time up to now. This basically renders this keyboard completely useless to me with so many other smaller keyboards.
  • Since the last update, Gboard has stopped saving things on the clipboard, will only save 1 or 2 items max after I add them, the others will disappear, and the ones that do save will disappear by the next day. The swipe feature is wrong 60%-70% of the time. I hate the new layout as well since you changed the themes and won’t allow me to use the classic design. Guess I’ll start using the Samsung keyboard now.

Conclusion:

Gboard – The Google Keyboard is a great option for anyone looking for a simple, effective keyboard app. It’s fast, reliable, and easy to use, making it a great choice for Android users. However, it’s important to note that Gboard – The Google Keyboard is not available on all devices, so be sure to check compatibility before downloading. Overall, Gboard – The Google Keyboard is a great keyboard app for Android users and is definitely worth checking out. Thanks for reading!
